When we'll hire
When paying-customer revenue covers the full cost of a second person plus a year of runway, and when there's a clear product gap that solo-shipping can't close. Probably year 2 or 3. Not because of urgency — because of fit.
What we'll look for
- Senior craft. The first hire will own a meaningful surface end-to-end. Junior is wrong for the shape of the team.
- Calm-by-default temperament. Same principle as the product. Async-first, slow-thinking, opinionated, kind.
- EU-located. Same timezone as the founder, same data-residency story as the product. No US-east handoffs.
What we won't do
- No 20-person team. The product is a tool, not a platform.
- No venture-style growth hiring. We earn money before we spend it.
- No “rockstar” postings, no take-home tests longer than a few hours, no eight-round interview loops.
